ALAN VERLANDER LEAVING JAXSPORTS COUNCIL

JACKSONVILLE, Fla., June 14, 2018 —Jamie Shelton, Chairman of Gator Bowl Sports, the parent company of the Jacksonville Sports Council, announced today that JAXSPORTS COO Alan Verlander will be leaving his role to pursue a new sports and entertainment marketing business. Chairman Shelton also announced that Rick Catlett will assume Alan’s duties for the foreseeable future.

“I have had the opportunity to work with and know Alan for many years and Alan has been a tremendous asset to the organization,” said Chairman Shelton. “We wish Alan the very best in his future endeavors.”

“It has been an exciting last four years with Alan and our team building the Jacksonville Sports Council,” said Gator Bowl Sports President & CEO Rick Catlett. “I am excited about JAXSPORTS future and look forward to continuing to bring new events to the city of Jacksonville. Alan has done a tremendous job in the execution of his duties and will be sorely missed.”
